BONDEDOUT
Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2, 2026
Bonded Out (Bonded Out, LLC, "we," "us") provides bail bond management software to bail bond companies. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Account information from bail bond companies and their agents: name, email, phone number, company name and office locations.
- Client information entered by bail bond companies about defendants and co-signers: names, phone numbers, addresses, court dates, bond details, check-ins and payment records.
- Text message records: phone numbers, message content, delivery status, and whether a person agreed to or opted out of text messages.
- GPS check-ins: if a bail bond company enrolls a client in GPS check-ins, the selfie photo the client takes and the phone's location (GPS coordinates and accuracy) at the moment of each check-in, with the time.
- Scout Band monitoring: if a bail bond company puts a client on a Scout Band, the phone's location (latitude, longitude, accuracy and time) reported regularly through the Scout app while the band is active; device details such as the band's serial number, battery level, signal, and whether the band is near the phone; tamper, strap-cut and other device events; and the times alerts were sent.
- Agreement records: when someone agrees to our Terms or confirms a client's monitoring consent, the login, time, IP address and browser.
How we use information
- To provide the software to bail bond companies and their agents.
- To send text messages a person has agreed to receive, such as court date reminders, check-in reminders and payment notices.
- To keep the service secure and to meet legal obligations.
- To let a bail bond company confirm, at random check-in times, that a client they enrolled is where they are permitted to be. For GPS check-ins, location is collected only when the client opens a check-in link and allows their browser to share it. Check-in selfies and locations are shared only with the bail bond company that requested them.
- To provide Scout Band monitoring to the bail bond company that enrolled the client: showing the client's last location and band status, and alerting the company about tampering, a cut strap, the band leaving the phone, leaving an approved area, low battery, or no signal.
Monitoring information
The bail bond company controls the monitoring information about its clients; we process it on that company's behalf and only to provide monitoring to that company. Only the company's owner and agents with access to that client's bond can see it. We don't sell monitoring information or share it for advertising. We share it with service providers that help run monitoring (hosting, mapping, texting, and the device and app provider), and when the law, a subpoena, or a court order requires.
Scout AI
When a bail bond company uses Scout AI, parts of its records are processed by our AI provider to answer the company's questions and draft messages. Our AI provider's business terms don't allow it to train its models on this data. Re-arrest monitoring checks clients' names and identifying details against third-party arrest and booking records.
Text messaging (SMS)
- We send texts only to people who opted in, by checking the unchecked text message consent box on their paper bond paperwork signed in person, or on the online bond packet. A co-signer who asks their agent to text them the bond packet link receives only that one text. See how you sign up.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help.
- Mobile phone numbers and text message consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only:
- with service providers who help us run Bonded Out, such as hosting, database, email and text message delivery (for example, Twilio), mapping, AI processing, and monitoring device and app providers, and only to provide the service;
- with the bail bond company that entered the information;
- when required by law, subpoena or court order.
Security and retention
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information. Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored in access-controlled systems, and check-in selfies are only viewable through short-lived private links. We keep information as long as the bail bond company's account is active or as required by law. Monitoring information is deleted within 90 days after the company's account closes, unless the company deletes it sooner or the law requires us to keep it longer.
Clients and co-signers
If you're a client or co-signer and have questions about your information, contact the bail bond company that wrote your bond first, since it controls your records. You can also contact us at support@bondedout.com.
